GRAND OPENING OF MOSÉ BEAUTY STORE

The MOSE store, a premium beauty retail outlet, recently opened its doors on the 3rd of June to Lagos’ most exclusive beauty influencers. The launch/tea party event was held at it’s head location at the Nelle Mall in Lekki, Lagos.

At the event we saw guests like Ini Dima Okojie, Denola Grey, Dr Vivian Oputa of Dermacare, Tayo Afolabi of World PR Media, Tewa Onasanya, Mo Cheddah, Bolanle Olukanni (Bolinto) Kaylah Oniwo, Oma Ehiri, Anita Brows, and of course, the woman of the hour, Nowe Isibor, Creative Director of the MOSÉ Store. There were several other notable faces in attendance as well.

The event began with a press conference in which Nowe Isibor spoke on her scary but rewarding roller coaster ride that was the inception of the Mose Store. She said of her journey “There were times when the store was empty and no one was buying anything but I would come in every morning”, and went on to admit that the store had been in existence for a period of over two years. She said that her plans for MOSE are to revolutionize beauty retail in Africa by creating a chain of beauty retail stores which will house both African and international brand.

This was then followed by a panel discussion consisting of skincare brand owners: Uzor Okonmah, Founder of Midori wonders, Folasade Olagbaye, Founder of Aralewá Skincare, Zephia Ovia, Founder/CEO of Makariah Scrubs, and Ore Runsewe, Founder of Arami Essentials, who spoke about their experiences stocking with The Mosé Store and the importance of  a good  quality beauty retail space.

Mosé In house Makeup Artist/Beauty Blogger, Stephanie Ani (Pro Make Up Artistry) spoke about why she chose to partner with Mosé Brand, stating that she wanted a place that would feel like home and wanted her customers to get the continuous Stephanie Ani service they are accustomed to, she said the Mosé Store provided all that and more.

Design Experts of The Mosé Store Ogonna Okafor; Principal Designer Fiona Phillips Design Studio spoke about how this was her first design job after  Parsons School of Design in New York City, and how she was more than happy to join the Mosé team in creating a world class beauty retail space. She said Isibor Nowe had a clear vision for the Mosé Store, and it was based on that brief she implemented the Vision of the brand in its design aesthetics.

Renowned Industry Expert Dr Vivian Oputa, dermatologist, Medical Director DermaCare Medical Limited also spoke about the importance of skincare, especially sunscreen, citing that it was one of the leading causes for premature aging and even cancer. She also spoke about how there were not enough quality beauty retail spaces in Nigeria and the need for such spaces in the beauty industry.

On that note the press conference ended and Dr Vivian Oputa had the honor of officially declaring The Mosé Store open for business!
